America’s Sensory Impaired Veterans Organization, ASIVO, was created to assist all Veterans who served honorably in the Armed Forces of the United States including those Veterans with service connected and non-service connected injuries or disabilities. ASIVO’s special focus includes the improvement of the quality of life among all Native American Veterans and Sensory Impaired Veterans. ASIVO representatives are passionate and committed to provide Veterans, family members and care givers, information, assistance, advocacy in legislation, and personal claims representation.  Navigation of the services available to Veterans is complicated and we are dedicated in assisting Veterans and their families in understanding and accessing the services and benefits available to them.   Our Mission is to work closely with our Native American and Sensory Impaired/Traumatic Brain Injured Veterans. Our services are aimed at improving the quality of life for Veterans who have experienced: ▪Visual Impairment: 20/70 Vision to Total Blindness. ▪Neuropathy (Touch) Impairment: Loss of Feeling in Arms, Legs, and Other Areas. ▪Auditory (Hearing) Impairment: Tinnitus to Total Deafness. ▪Gustation (Taste) Impairments. ▪Olfaction (Smell) Impairment. ▪Traumatic Brain Injuries/TBI Which can affect all five senses.
